Rodolfo “Waffle” Martinez(12) is a young Blackkhawk artist. He is in A.P. Art this year, but his expertise in drawing began long before high school.

“I have been drawing since kindergarten, but I was never an expert. I just did it for the fun of it,” saidMartinez. He stopped sketcheing at the beginning of his freshman year but he thanks his friend Victoria for pulling him back into creativity.

Being shy, he mostly hides his talent from his parents and friends, and only talks about it when he is asked. He expresses himself through his art, not as much with words.

“I draw Anime and realistic things and I love to sketch my friends as cartoon characters,” remarkedMartinez. He is appreciated for his art by a small but growing number of people.
