Cathedral City High School senior Jill Thetford received CCH’s prestigious Golden Lion Award Wednesday night at Westin Mission Hills.

This award goes to the one senior who has best demonstrated exceptional academic abilities, noteworthy community service, organizational leadership, and active participation in many student organizations throughout his/her high school career.

Along with the honor, her name will adorn the signpost at Dave Kelly and Date Palm  for the next year.

This award, and the five finalists, Thetford, Lauren Cruz, Vanella Medero, Stephanie Vela, and Michael Vogt, embody the pursuits of the well-rounded, educated young adult that embodies Lions Pride.
