Peter Van holten said UC Berkeley is a tremendously exciting place with lots and lots of really good students and world renowned faculty.
Peter Van holten is a retired staff member who worked with students at Berkeley for forty years. He is now a volunteer at Berkeley who visits high schools and community colleges around the state of California to interest and talk to students who are interested in going to Berkeley. He recently spent the afternoon at CCHS, touting his school
“I absolutely love what I do because it’s strictly volunteer,” said Van holten. “I don’t receive any compensation money wise for this, and it was something I liked to do when I was working at Berkley.”
Berkley offers bachelors degree in a wide range of undergraduate subjects. It offers masters degree in arts, sciences, and in professional fields such as business and public health, as well as doctorates.
“No school is the school for everybody, but Berkley is a tremendously exciting place with lots and lots of really good students and world renowned faculty.There’s a lot of excitement. There’s intellectual, social, political excitement, and it’s a very diverse, beautiful place. Anyone thinking of going to college ought to visit as many colleges as she or he can to see what they like or don’t like and to explore various options.”
